We are thrilled to report that our adult and children’s Sunday school classes are growing.  Please stop by the welcome table in the narthex for more information.  Classes are held each Sunday beginning promptly at 9 a.m. with breakfast in Fellowship Hall.

Van Ministry

Thanksgiving Dinner

On Thursday, November 27th, First Church will host it's Annual Thanksgiving Day Dinner for the community and the church family. It will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. Mark your calendar now and come have Thanksgiving dinner. We are in the planning stage now. Super Saturday is coming!

On Saturday, September 6th, First Church will be holding a Super Saturday event to celebrate the fall Sunday School kickoff, and the beginning of Disciple U! There will be food, music, face painting, a moon bounce, and more. So, mark your calendars. Super Saturday is being held in lieu of Vacation Bible School this year. New Members Sessions
Held Second & Third Sundays

 We hold sessions with all those thinking of joining First Church on the second and third Sunday of each month.  Then the group will join on the fourth Sunday.
This is an opportunity to get to know others who are thinking of joining this church family and to meet some of the leaders of our church.  All are welcomed and invited to join us in the chapel at 9:45 a.m. on any month they are available.

New Ministry

We have identified a need for a new ministry that will give care and support to families and friends who have loved ones serving in the Armed Forces.  We would like to encourage your input on how best to address this congregational need.  We are looking for anyone who is interested in helping in the planning and implementing of this ministry.  Please speak to Pastor Joan, Pastor Miguel or Carol Bergmann if you have questions or suggestions.  You can also email any comments to cbergmann@fumchy.org.  We know that we will keep all of these folks in our prayers, but we want to know what else God calls us to do - such as sending packages and/or cards.  Thank you in advance for your prayerful support for this new ministry.

Senior Fix-Up Day is here again!

Come on Saturday, September 13th, and join us for our annual fix-up day. We need skilled and unskilled labor for minor repair work at one of our member's homes. We will meet in Fellowship Hall for breakfast at 7 a.m. and arrive at the home by 8 a.m. to start work. Lunch will be served at 12 noon. We hope to be finished by 4 p.m. Please bring your tools for painting, cleaning, gardening, and minor repairs.
