Read: Matthew 4:11 Then the devil left him, and suddenly angels came and waited on him. (NRSV)

As we all know devil is always at work, never a take a day off, always trying to add followers to his entourage.

According to the scripture, Jesus was led by the spirit to prepared to go away from everyone into wilderness for forty days and forty nights to fast and pray, as he completed 40-days and 40-nights, he was very weak, tired, certainly hungry.  Here comes devil to Jesus to take advantage of his situation.  Devil came to Jesus with temptation saying :

  1. If you are the true son of God, command these stones into bread.
Jesus answered: Man shall not live by bread alone but, but by every word that come out of the God’s mouth.

  1. Devil took him to holy city to the top of the temple pinnacle saying, if you are the son of God jump down for it is written, He shall send his angels to protect you with their hands, so you don’t hit your foot against any stone.
Jesus said, it was written again, thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

As we all know devil is still working hard as harder today than ever.  We all can testify as a lot is happening every day around us.  We all must be strong, not fall into temptations.
