Read: Romans 10:8b-13
I remember when I was in tenth grade staying in the Boarding Home, we had to be going to Youth for Christ on Saturday and Scripture Union on Sunday. Different schools attended this revival. We were very glad to leave our Hostel to see other friends. We were not going to listen to the word of God but to meet our friends. Some of the Christian songs were very inspiring, such as He Lives, He lives within my heart and also what can make me whiter than snow.
My observation is that God offers salvation to every individual regardless of our ethnic background. Salvation comes through believing in Jesus. No amount of good works can ever be sufficient to win God’s approval. Secondly, the songs inspired me to be attending the revival. We were taught not to disobey our elders because we need not be punished. Jesus is our father and we do not want him to punish us. Thirdly, we should remember Jesus died for us for all our sins whether we are white or black, pink or red, purple or mauve. We are all human being in the sight of God. God blesses us all who put their trust in him.
Today, I encourage First Church to choose life so that you may also live. I am so thankful that God has provided a way for us to remain in fellowship with him at all times. I am blessed to know that his love and his word flows out of me and that I am never without him. This is the word of faith that I proclaim today, may you be blessed by this revelation of God's wonderful plan for you, Amen!
II Corinthians chapter 5 verse 7 states for we walk by faith, not by sight. This is my favorite hymn which I used as a prayer.
My faith looks up to Thee, thou Lamb of Calvary, Savior divine! Now hear me while I pray, take all my guilt away, O let me from this day be wholly Thine!
