Read: Philippians 3:17-4:1
In this scripture Paul has said to his brothers and sisters to pattern your lives after Christians and notice who else lives up to the example. For you have been told that there are many who walk with Christians who are really adversaries of the teaching of Christ. They are proud of what they should be ashamed of and all they think about is this life, here on earth.
As Christians, our “homeland” is in heaven, where the Savior (the Lord Jesus Christ) is and we are looking forward to his return. When he returns, he will change our broken and sickly bodies into a transformed body that we will have long after Jesus’s resurrection.
The Lord loves you and longs to see you, for you are his pride and joy and his reward for his work on earth.
