Join the United Methodist Endorsing Agency for an Endorsement 101 Webinar on April 23, from 4 to 5 p.m., to learn what endorsement is and how United Methodists called to chaplaincy and other specialized ministries can serve beyond the local church. Ready to go beyond the surface? Our 2026 Confirmation class is officially open for youth ages 11–18! We’re using Colaborate to dive deep into the stuff that actually matters: identity, grace, and how to live out your faith in a messy world.
No judgment. No easy answers. Just honest talk and a seat at the table for you to make your faith your own. Virtual Confirmation Classes will held Saturdays, 10:30a - 12:00pm. Applications for the next class of Certified Lay Minister, the Baltimore-Washington Conference Class of 2026-2028 are now being accepted. Visit the website to learn more and see the online CLM application package. The deadline to submit the application is July 1. The next cohort will start in September and is a two-year commitment. Questions can be directed to Min. Linda Flanagan, Conference Director of Lay Servant Ministries.
IGNITE held March 20-22, 2026 in Ocean City was amazing!
"You belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.” – 1 Corinthians 3:23 (CEB) Thank you to all for your prayers and financial blessings that made it possible for us to send (18) youth and (10) chaperones to Ignite in Ocean City. We had a spirit filled weekend that explored and reinforced the theme, "Belong". Thank you for your continued support of the Youth Ministry at First United Methodist Church of Hyattsville, MD.
