Tamara Travers

Director - Child Enrichment Center

Tamara Travers has been the Director of First United Methodist Church Child Enrichment Center since 2005.

Tamara has been working in the field of Early Childhood and Elementary Education for over 20 years.  She has completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Towson University.  She strives to be a resource and support to teachers, parents, and children for providing a learning environment that engages the child's body, mind, and spirit.

Prior to becoming the Director of First United Methodist Church Child Enrichment Center, she was a preschool and elementary school teacher in Prince George’s County. In addition to teaching young children, she has had several interesting experiences working within the field of Education such as an Assistant Director of an Afterschool Program, served as a Grade Level Department Chairperson, Curriculum Leader and held a Team Lead Position for an Elementary school’s program.
