Sunday School
Faith building and the drive to grow in the grace, knowledge and wisdom of God, doing good from an early age is the goal at First Church ensuring that we develop children of faith and a community of believers.
Building up Faith
At First United Methodist Church, Hyattsville we strongly believe and take very seriously the task of ensuring that spiritual seeds are feed to the children at an early age. The Church knows and studies God’s word. We strive to ensure that the children build their faith and trust in God in a changing and diverse World.

Growing in The Word
We use curriculum approved by the Curriculum Resources Committee (CRC) of the United Methodist General Board of Discipleship. We present materials in a way that is fun to them. We build on the inquisitive nature of children as they study the Bible or learn about stories in the Bible.

Committed to Teach
We have dedicated and trained Sunday school teachers available each Sunday.
There are four Sunday School Groups: Pre-K Ages 3-5 Early Elementary Ages 6- 8 Older Elementary Ages 9-11 Youths Ages 12-18 Sunday School are Safe Sanctuary certified. |
