Read: Ephesians 2:7-10
These scriptures explain the relationship between our lack of obedience, the grace of God and our salvation. Martin Luther stated that grace is the hinge on which all doctrine turns – and he shows us that salvation is totally dependent on the grace of God. In addition, Christianity teaches us that salvation is by grace from the beginning to the end. Paul tells us that by grace we are all saved. In Romans 9 verse 15 God says that “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy and I have compassion on whom I have compassion.” Let us remember that Jesus died on the cross for you and me. This reminds me of John Newton, the English slave trader who became an Anglican Priest, a hymn writer and was best known for his hymn “Amazing Grace.” Whenever I sing this song, I feel the spirit of God flowing over me and I feel healed. Walking in the spirit, you will experience God’s goodness and mercy. When we think about Black History Month, it is the grace that sets God’s people free from slavery (he was a wretch, but God found him). I pray for the grace to believe and honor your word for our prosperity which you have chosen to deliver through the mouth of prophet. Dorothea Williams Comments are closed.
