Read: John 12:27-28
I have glorified it, and will glorify it again v28
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens” Ecclesiastes 3:1. Lent reminds us about the suffering and the agony that Jesus Christ went through to deliver us from our sins. He suffered and eventually died on the cross so that we may have life and have it abundantly. As we remember our brokenness and the price Jesus Christ paid for our sins, the season calls us to repentance, humility, and time to ask for his mercy; “it was for this very reason I came to this hour” v27. There is a reason for everything. “And who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” Esther 4:14. No matter what we are going through, no matter our challenges, Jesus Christ is ready to deliver us. This is another opportunity to bring our concerns to him with prayers and thanksgivings. “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28. “Though the fig tree may not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines; though the labor of the olive may fail, and the fields yield no food; though the flock may be cut off from the fold, and there be no herd in the stalls--Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my strength; because a voice came from heaven, “I have glorified it, and will glorify it again.” V28.
Thank you Lord Jesus Christ for the sacrifice you made to save me. I humbly come to your throne of mercy to ask for the forgiveness of my sins, please cleanse me and give me a renew spirit. Please glorify me in your holy and mighty name I pray. Amen
